Christmas 2008!

Mom and Dad have Baby Dunn's stocking holder all ready to go. . . next year!
Mom, Dad, Ryan and I . . . waiting and hoping for Baby Dunn's healthy arrival!
My new "mom" lounge outfit that Ryan picked out for me!
Ryan and his new "uniform" his vest!
The whole Dunn, Delagnes, Muzzy, Talbott and Fathy crew!
Our cute Christmas Tree!

We had a great Christmas as we celebrated with both families. We spent Christmas Eve with Ryan's family (we switch off each year!) and Christmas morning with just the two of us and the Christmas day with my family. It was a wonderful year full of anticipation for Baby Dunn's arrival (no news yet!) and time spent together. Ryan and I truly enjoy our tradition of spending Christmas morning together, just us. We started a new tradition this year where we give each other an ornament that symbolizes the past year. We thought this might be a good thing to start when we decorated our tree and realized we have lots of bulbs but not many symbolic ornaments. It was one of my favorite presents this year as Ryan gave me a red airplane. I said to him as I opened it "where are we going?" and he said "baby Dunn is our next adventure we will be embarking on" and it was so fitting. I gave Ryan an ornament with a husband and wife snowmen and the wife is prego with an arrow pointing to her belly that says "baby" and the year 2008 on it. He seemed to like it as well!

One of my favorite perks!

As many of you may know Google has some fabulous perks, from free food to massages to workout gyms to 24/7 tech support. One of my most recent favorite perks has been the "Expectant Mother Parking" that is noted in this photo and located in the front of each building. As I finished up my last day in Mountain View on December 19th I took this photo as I parked in this spot for the last time before Baby Dunn arrives. The parking spot has been fun to use over the past few months and my team always enjoys when I ride along with them to another cafe for lunch or building for a meeting and we get to utilize this parking spot! I don't drive often but when I do, there is nothing better than pulling into this spot. I just wish all parking lots had these special spots for "expectant mothers" or "families"!

Getting Ready!

We got our Christmas Tree last week and I was so excited because it was the first year that we didn't get a "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree. It's about 6 feet and really perfect in our new living room.

We've hit the 36 week mark!!! We now go to the doctor every week and check the progress of baby Dunn. We had an ultra sound last week (I'll have to post another pic of that!) and we are measuring about 6 lbs (give or take a few ounces). It was so exciting to see and hear (love that heartbeat sound!) our little one. We could even see that the baby has hair on it's head, crazy what we learn with technology!!! We are 1 cm. dialated and 50% effanced but Dr. Green (our doctor who also delivered Madison, Jack and Chloe!) thinks that we are right on track for January. We'll keep you posted. Don't forget to fill in the "Do you think Baby Dunn is a boy or girl?" survey to the right on the blog.

Thanksgiving 2009

We celebrated Turkey day this year beginning with the Dunns over at our house for breakfast. We loved sharing some time with them before they hosted 12 people at their house and before we headed to Danville to celebrate with my family. We had a very relaxing time at Rancho Relaxo (the nickname for my parents house) and I even got the special lounge chair where I could elevate my feet and be super comfy since I was prego. My Dad did all the cooking from scratch and did an amazing job. My Mom does a fantastic job of setting the table and making sure the grandkids are entertained and that everyone has a bed to sleep in. Dinner lasted a whole 15 minutes with all the little ones and such. We missed the Fishers as they were visiting John's mom and step dad in South Carolina. We managed to squeeze in the most important part of Thanksgiving dinner which is when we all share what we are thankful for. . . this year I am so thankful for the gift of life that we have created, we are so blesssed and excited to meet this little one. We have so much to be thankful for . . . our faith, our lives, our health, our families, our friends, our homes, our jobs and the love that we share. Thanksgiving is a great time to share your gratitude, it's one of my favorite holidays!

Fall birthdays!

This Fall has been busy with birthdays! We celebrated Jack Farrell's first birthday on October 29th. He had a joint birthday party with Sadie Eggert and you'll just have to read Lizzie's blog post about it to get the full effect of the 1 year old's party in the pouring rain. . . here's the http://farrellfamilyoffour.blogspot.com/ make sure you scroll down to "Birthday Party Switcharoo" posting. We then had Madison's third birthday on November 14th, see photos below of her gymnastics bash with 15 of her friends from pre-school.

It's hard to believe that Madison and Mia are already three years old as it seems like just yesterday we were in the hospitals with them or patiently waiting for their arrival. They are now both in pre-school and have the cutest personalities. Madison with her expressive hand gestures and stories and Mia with her thoughtful and kind gestures. They are only 12 days apart so on November 26th we celebrated Mia's 3rd birthday. I got to see both of them on their actual birthdays which was a special treat. Both girls were a little sick for their parties so their Mommy's were busy coming up with "plan B's" but it all worked out in the end and I know they had a great time. Here are a few recent pics!
