Kerry and Dave meet Dylan

My good friend from LMU, Kerry, moved in December to be with her fiance (Dave) on the East Coast while he finished up his MBA at Wharton. So while they were in San Francisco doing wedding stuff (they are getting married in July!) they stopped by for a visit. We were so excited to see them and we can't wait to have them back on this coast! Congrats to Dave on his MBA from Wharton!!!

Tummy Time!

Dylan has become a pro at Tummy Time! He loves to lay on his tummy and is working on his neck/head muscles. He is very close to moving his hands around and he kicks his feet. It's amazing to see this progress. Here are some of my fav tummy time pics!

San Diego, here we come!

My best friend Megan gave birth to her daughter Addison last July. In August, Megan and Craig asked me to be Addison's Godmother. I was so honored and thrilled! They had planned for her baptism to be in October but I soon learned that I couldn't fly any more with my pregnancy. Megan and Craig graciously postponed the baptism until I could travel again and now, with Dylan. The baptism was a long time coming but it was so worth the wait. It was a beautiful celebration of family and faith. Megan and Craig were surrounded by their families and they close friends to welcome Addison into the Methodist faith. Addison wore a baptismal gown that her Grandma (Megan's mom) made from Megan's wedding dress train. It was gorgeous! We had a great time catching up with Meg, Craig, Addison and their families. Dylan did awesome on the plane and was a true traveler. We had a great system where Ryan would take care of the luggage and I was in carrying D, as you can see this is no easy feat!!! This was just the beginning of Dylan's travels. . . where to next?

My 1st Mother's Day!

There are so many Moms to celebrate on this special day, so it became a weekend for us. We celebrated Ryan's Mom on Saturday night with dinner at our house. On Sunday, we celebrated with mass at St. Agnes where I got a special blessing and prayer card. We then went to an early brunch in order to get Dylan home for his nap. During nap time I got to run out and get a mani/pedi, what a treat! We then headed to Danville to celebrate all the other Mommies in the family and Grammy, of course. There was about 15 minutes where all 6 grandchildren were asleep and then one by one they all wake up and it turns from Rancho Relaxo to Rancho Fiasco! We are so blessed to have Great Grandmothers, Grandmothers and Moms in our lives, they have certainly paved the way for me. We love you!

Sawyer's special day!

Ryan's cousin Claudine and her husband Mike asked Ryan to be the Godfather of their third son, Sawyer. Ryan was thrilled and honored. The baptism took place at St. Brendan's where Ryan went to grade school with his sister and cousins. We took this opportunity to try and get a photo of the 3 Muzzy boys and Dylan. It was quite a feat but here are the results!!!

Sleep 101

Our doctor and many other people told us not to worry about Dylan's sleep patterns until he was 12 weeks old. Well, here we are just past 12 weeks and we started to see more patterns and decided to read up on "sleep training". Dylan amazed us by sleeping through the night, I mean 12 hours!!! BUT that quickly changed last week, we knew it wouldn't last forever so we enjoyed the long stretches while they lasted. Here are a few milestones, Dylan's first naps in his crib, him sleeping in the co-sleeper next to our bed and him sleeping outside under the trees in my parent's packyard.

Muir Woods!

Almost every night we read Dylan "Good Night San Francisco" and there is a part of the book that talks about "the nearby redwoods" so we thought it would be important for Dylan to SEE the nearby Redwoods. BUT first we took a drive to Stinson Beach. . . wow, we quickly realized why we don't do that more often. That drive is so crazy, constant turns and you feel sick after going about 1 mile. We made it there just in time to grab lunch. We found a great little spot by the beach and ordered from the outside cafe. Just as soon was we ordered our sweet Dylan decided it was his time to eat as well, and he let everyone on the patio know!!! We quickly told the server that we'd take it to go and I headed to the car to feed Dylan. After he got his meal I was determined to see the Ocean, so we walked to the beach said, "hello ocean" and thean headed back home stopping off at Muir woods first. We had a great time here and Dylan really enjoyed being out of the car, and so did we!!! Here are a few fun photos of our day adventure!

Dylan meets Addison!

My very best friend from high school, Lucky Meg came to visit with her husband Craig and her daughter Addison. We had a quick visit at my parents house but it was so much fun to get our little ones together. Dylan got to meet Addison who is just 6 months older than him, who says he can't go for an older chick?
