Dylan's first Christmas Tree!

Daddy and Dylan picking out the tree! Note the matching puffy vests, aren't they cute!! :)
Showing Dylan the Christmas tree up close. We've gone to the same tree lot "Marina Middle School" lot for hte past 4 years. I can remember our first time going there and we walked the tree home. We put up the tree during Dylan's nap time and then surprised him when he woke up. . .he wasn't so into it but I guess that's a good thing because he doesn't pull off the ornaments!!

Dylan's first Thanksgiving meal, thanks Fowlers for hosting us!
Dylan at Daddy's office. . . billing some hours for Daddy!

The Dunns
Our little prince at cousin Madison's fairy princess party. . .

Dylan will be 11 months next week so I figured I post some recent pics of him. He has 2 bottom teeth and the 2 upper teeth are coming into view with each day. He's eating lots of solids and loves his new mobility of crawling. Today we found him sitting up in his crib after his nap, wow. . . he's getting big fast! He loved his first Thanksgiving and has enjoyed his cousins birthday parties especially the one with all the princess' he and cousin Jack were the princes!

TEETH

Dylan just got his first two bottom teeth, we've been waiting and waiting. I found this tee right around Halloween and it fits just perfectly! I'm not sure if this is how Dylan feels about it but after a few sleepless nights this is how we feel about teething. . . it bites! :)

Halloween

We had a great time for Halloween. Ryan was at a good friend's wedding on Halloween in New Jersey so before he left we went to the Chestnut Street fest on Friday. Dylan was joined by his Grandma Laura and Great Grandma Barbara. . . we loved seeing all the other costumes. Dylan was a total trooper in his LION costume and even loved the head piece which I was so surprised about since it was so big! We celebrated cousin Jack's 2nd birthday on Saturday (Halloween) morning in costumes and then went to cousin Chloe and Quinn's neighborhood for some Trick or Treating. We didn't really make it out for the Trick or Treating but we were in costume and sure had fun. Enjoy a few pics!

Summer in San Francisco!

We love September and October in San Francisco, it's the best time of year as we really get good weather and can enjoy the outdoors with little to no fog. Here are some pics that I just had to snap as we (I was running, Dylan was in the jog stroller!) were running along Chrissy Field near the Golden Gate bridge. I just love days like this. . . it's a little bright but it was so crystal clear!!!

4 years!

On September 24th we celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary with a dinner out in our neighborhood. Auntie Emily babysat for us so that we could enjoy the evening, thanks Em! Can't believe it's already been 4 years, we had a great time looking at our wedding album and talking about all the things we've done in the last 4 years and all that we want to do in the many years to come!

We showed Dylan our wedding album and pointed to everyone in the family, he seems to enjoy it as there are lots of bright colors!

Quinn Kathleen Fisher

Last Tuesday night we got a call at 3:30 a.m., it was time! My sister, Jen and her husband John were on their way to the hospital. I jumped out of bed and got in the car so I could be with their daughter Chloe while they were at the hospital. I had such a special morning with Chloe, telling her all about how her sister was my big sister and what a great big sister she was going to be. It was really wonderful to spend that time with Chloe just before her world was going to change forever, she was going to be a big sister. Chloe went off for the day with their amazing nanny Ena. I headed to the hospital and all of our wonderful mothers in law took care of the little ones so that we could be there for Jen and John. Thanks Laura for watching Dylan!

We got to be in the room for Quinn's birth, what an amazing experience. Our doctor, Dr. Laurie Green has now delivered 5 out of the 7 Briggs Grandchildren. She is a rock star and an amazing doctor. We just love her and she has a great sense of humor. She looked around the room at all of us and said, "ok who's next?". Jen got to 8 cm without an epidural (an amazing feat!) and then pushed 7 times, yes 7 times. . . and out came Quinn. Quinn has a beautiful full head of jet black hair and the blue Fisher eyes. She weighed in at 7 lbs and 12 oz which is a good size baby in Fisher standards (Chloe was 6 lbs. 1 oz).

We were thrilled for the Fishers and Baby Quinn is healthy and happy. Dylan got to meet Quinn the next day and pass the torch of being the youngest cousin. Dylan and Quinn are almost 7 months apart exactly and hopefully they will be classmates!

Dylan's 1st fine dining experience

Dylan turned 6 months and just like. . . he's a foodie! We started out with oatmeal (similar to rice cereal) and then graduated to fresh pureed organic veggies. So far he's loved everything we've offered him including yams, summer squash, zucchini, sweet potatoes and cauliflower. The only thing that he's not so sure of is green peas, but really. . . who likes green peas!

here are a few pics of his first foods, video to come. . .

Mom and Dad surprise welcome home

My parents celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary by going on a Mediterranean Cruise for 14 days. They had a wonderful time and kept us updated via email on each port, new dining experience and interesting shipmates. My sisters and I orchestrated a surprise airport welcome home party for them. We assembled all the kiddies and drove to the airport in the height of rush hour but it was so worth it, they loved seeing all the grand kids and we were thrilled to have them home. Enjoy this sweet video!

Happy 4th of July!

We celebrated the 4th of July with a great tradition of joining the Dunns, Delagnes, Fathys, Muzzys and Talbotts up in Napa for a weekend of fun in the sun. It was Dylan's first trip and he loved every moment, from swimming in the pool to taking his bottle on the deck overlooking the golf course, he had a great time. We had so much fun catching up with all the family members. Ryan has gone to Napa for the 4th of July ever since he was a little boy so fun to see the tradition passed along to the 4th generation. Thank you Grandma Alice and Papa Leo for a wonderful weekend!

Dylan's new tricks

Dylan is just about 6 months old and last time we took him to the doctor he was weighing in at 14 lbs. 13 oz. He is growing like a weed and just so much fun to watch. Each day it seems he learns or discovers something new, he is working on sitting up alone, rolling over and has now discovered his toes. . . and he likes them alot! A few pics of his new tricks. . .

Ryan's first Father's Day

Our father's day celebration started on Friday night with my parents in Danville. We had a great BBQ in the backyard and Dylan got special time with his Poppo and Grammy. We got to celebrate my Dad on Friday night as I had a wedding to coordinate on Saturday. Unfortunately, we don't have any pics from that celebration, sorry!!!

We then celebrated Ryan's first father's on Sunday with sleeping in and then a few presents throughout the day. We gathered with the Dunns, Delagnes, Fathys, Muzzys and Talbotts at a park in Corte Madre (escaping the city fog, although it was beautiful in the city that day!). It was a great way to celebrate the Great Grandfather, Grandfathers and Fathers.

Enjoy the pics of Ryan's first father's day! Ryan, happy Father's day. . . you are an amazing father to Dylan and it's so fun to watch you together. I love you!

Dylan's buddies!

Last December my sister Jen got me in touch with a group of women (friends of friends from her mom's group) that were all due in December or January. We met once while we were all pregnant and hit it off right away. Once everyone gave birth we've gotten together about once a month to share stories, swap ideas and lend a hand when needed. It's a great group of professional women who all are moms now. It was our turn to host the group so Dylan and I had everyone over to play, meet Dylan's buddies. . . Anthony, Hudson, Lucian and our two little ladies of the group, Daphne and Scarlett. It was a great afternoon! Enjoy the pics, the quilt they are all laying on is from Auntie Kathy in Hawaii. . . thank yoU!

Kerry and Dave meet Dylan

My good friend from LMU, Kerry, moved in December to be with her fiance (Dave) on the East Coast while he finished up his MBA at Wharton. So while they were in San Francisco doing wedding stuff (they are getting married in July!) they stopped by for a visit. We were so excited to see them and we can't wait to have them back on this coast! Congrats to Dave on his MBA from Wharton!!!

Tummy Time!

Dylan has become a pro at Tummy Time! He loves to lay on his tummy and is working on his neck/head muscles. He is very close to moving his hands around and he kicks his feet. It's amazing to see this progress. Here are some of my fav tummy time pics!

San Diego, here we come!

My best friend Megan gave birth to her daughter Addison last July. In August, Megan and Craig asked me to be Addison's Godmother. I was so honored and thrilled! They had planned for her baptism to be in October but I soon learned that I couldn't fly any more with my pregnancy. Megan and Craig graciously postponed the baptism until I could travel again and now, with Dylan. The baptism was a long time coming but it was so worth the wait. It was a beautiful celebration of family and faith. Megan and Craig were surrounded by their families and they close friends to welcome Addison into the Methodist faith. Addison wore a baptismal gown that her Grandma (Megan's mom) made from Megan's wedding dress train. It was gorgeous! We had a great time catching up with Meg, Craig, Addison and their families. Dylan did awesome on the plane and was a true traveler. We had a great system where Ryan would take care of the luggage and I was in carrying D, as you can see this is no easy feat!!! This was just the beginning of Dylan's travels. . . where to next?

My 1st Mother's Day!

There are so many Moms to celebrate on this special day, so it became a weekend for us. We celebrated Ryan's Mom on Saturday night with dinner at our house. On Sunday, we celebrated with mass at St. Agnes where I got a special blessing and prayer card. We then went to an early brunch in order to get Dylan home for his nap. During nap time I got to run out and get a mani/pedi, what a treat! We then headed to Danville to celebrate all the other Mommies in the family and Grammy, of course. There was about 15 minutes where all 6 grandchildren were asleep and then one by one they all wake up and it turns from Rancho Relaxo to Rancho Fiasco! We are so blessed to have Great Grandmothers, Grandmothers and Moms in our lives, they have certainly paved the way for me. We love you!

Sawyer's special day!

Ryan's cousin Claudine and her husband Mike asked Ryan to be the Godfather of their third son, Sawyer. Ryan was thrilled and honored. The baptism took place at St. Brendan's where Ryan went to grade school with his sister and cousins. We took this opportunity to try and get a photo of the 3 Muzzy boys and Dylan. It was quite a feat but here are the results!!!
